CUSTOM, IMMIGRATION AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Visa are not required. 30 days tourist visa will be issued upon arrival and may be extended with advance approval by the Chief of Immigration with the fee US$ 50. All visitors must have a valid passports and return flight tickets before entering Palau.

One bottle of liquor and up to 1 carton of cigarettes (10 packs) can be brought into Palau duty-free. Importation of controlled substances and weapons are strictly prohibited.
Cholera and Yellow Fever immunizations are required for those arriving from infected areas.
Friendly reminders about the departure tax after check-in at the airport (US$ 35).

There are FDIC insured Banks and Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) that accept major credit and checking cards. Some hotel and business establishments also accept major credit cards as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and JCB. Foreign currency exchange is limited and may be exchanged at some local banks and hotels in Palau. Western Union money transfer also available.
